Early Spring topwater? Is that really an option? Could it work in your lake? You better believe it!! Very few anglers throw topwater during the Spring transition but those that do often catch giant bass. Its an overlooked technique that you should consider throwing on warm afternoons. We're not suggesting it be your main approach, but when you're looking for a giant bite, it can't be ruled out.

Grass Fishing! Flukes And Topwater Tricks For Fall Bass Fishing!

Come along as we chase bass in the shallow grass! The baitfish have moved into the shallows and the bass are gorging on them! We're using a combination of flukes, walking baits, and frogs to reach the fish through changing conditions. Be sure to pay close attention to Matt's perspective on color when it comes to topwater lures!

The day starts off with heavy fog, then switches to clear skies, followed by wind, pre-frontal conditions, and ultimately it starts raining. Conditions don't get much crazier than that! Despite it all Matt is able to keep catching fish by adapting his baits and colors with each transition. Fall is an awesome time to be fishing, no matter what the weather throws your way!

Topwater and Frog Fishing Tips For Fall Bass Fishing

Things are different in the Southern half of the country! When everyone else is pulling out there hoodies, the Fall bite is just warming up on the Tennessee River and many other Southern and Western fisheries! Come along for a day on the water and learn the tricks we use to adapt our frogs in changing Fall conditions. 

Fall topwater means different things in different parts of the country. Today we're fishing walking baits and frogs in and around grass beds, something that happens a lot in the Southern US in the Fall. Matt is using different size frogs to adapt to changing conditions and spills the details on when he makes these changes.

Fall Topwater Fishing! Walking Baits For Big Bass!

Spotted Bass and topwater! Does it get more fun?! Tim is exploring a new lake and there are Magnum Spotted Bass chasing baitfish in open water! Watch as he adapts his baits and technique to go from catching small spots to big magnums in just a few hours on a lake he knows nothing about!

Fall is topwater time! If you don't have a walking bait in your arsenal you're missing an opportunity to have a lot of fun on the water. Today Tim had to adjust the size and color of his walking bait until he found what the fish were after. He also used a minnow-imitating dropshot to get a few bonus bites when the fish dropped down to the bottom between feeding periods. You can mirror this pattern on your lake, using a topwater in conjunction with a bottom contact bait to catch more fish when you're on the water.
