FIshing The Fall To Winter Transition! Cold Water Fishing Tips!

Come along for a fun afternoon of fish catching! Tim is exploring a large section of river and dialing in a pattern as bass transition toward their Winter haunts. He’s using everything from swimbaits to blade baits to draw a reaction bite as water temperatures drop.

Fall to Winter transition is always an interesting bite window. There are bass that can be found shallow to the end, but most fish have already begun making their moves to deeper water haunts where they will spend the Winter. You can slow down and finesse fish or speed up and look for a reaction bite. Today Tim focused on power fishing throughout the water column.

Topwater Baits And Finesse Tricks For The Early Summer Transition!

Come along for an awesome afternoon on the water! Fish are in transition along the Tennessee River and we're going to catch them! Tim employs some of his best confidence baits to catch the tail end of the post spawn transition and the beginning of the Early Summer bite! 

When fish are in transition the bite can get tough. This is when a lot of anglers turn to "junk fishing" with 10 or 15 combos on the deck. We don't take it that far, but we do have some key confidence baits for this time of year. Watch as Tim picks up the right bait for each situation, moving between topwater, subsurface reaction, and finesse presentations.

The Cold Water Bass Fishing Trick Everyone Forgets!!

When Winter bass don't want to bite, the Jerkbait is the deal! Long pauses and short snaps of the rod can get wary fish to commit. However, this time of year attention to detail is everything. From baits to hooks, and rod to line,  you need your gear to be perfectly dialed to fully take advantage of a jerk bait's potential. 

Matt started out fishing a variety of Winter time baits. He threw crankbaits, blade baits, alabama rigs, and swimbaits. Right before he was going to call it quits he picked up the jerkbait and changed the course of his day. The subtle action of the jerkbait combined with long pauses was more than the bass could resist!
