This time of year there are so many great ways to catch bass. If you look at the front deck of Matt's boat, you'll notice he starts out with 12 different rods so he can adapt to changing conditions. However, it doesn't take long to realize the underspin swimbait and deep diving crankbaits will be the main fish catchers all day long.

Targeting Bass With Summer Swimbaits! (Big And Small)

It doesn't take long to find out there are both Largemouth and Smallmouth in this lake, and things really take a turn when Matt figures out they'll eat the Magdraft Swimbait!

It's always a challenge to find fish in a new lake. Step one is to fish likely locations, step two is to build a pattern, step three is to repeat. On this day it doesn't take long to find some aggressive Smallmouth, but thankfully Matt and CC didn't settled there and kept hunting, because the story of this lake is quality largemouth!

Power Fishing VS Finesse Fishing: Finding Bass In A New Lake!

Come along for an awesome day on the water! Matt, Tim, and JD are exploring a new lake and they're taking you along for the fun! Watch as they find two distinct patterns... one with a big swimbait, and the other with small finesse baits. Both options prove to be very effective as they cover water in search of quality bass in this new lake!

Breaking down new water can be overwhelming. It's hard to know where to start or what to throw. Today the guys came out with a plan; cover as much water as possible! With this approach in mind they tied on everything from a swimbait, to a chatterbait, to a spy bait. It didn't take long to start getting bit and before long, they'd developed a wide open pattern for catching quality largemouth!
