Tricks For Targeting Offshore Bass In Early Summer!

We're about to catch a GIANT Bass while fishing offshore! After the spawn a lot of bass move to offshore structures for the Summer. Targeting these fish can be overwhelming if you've never seen how to do it. We're here to teach you how they position, why they're there, and what to use to catch them. It may be difficult to fish without the visual cues at first, but we'll show you how to do it!

Many anglers prefer the comfort of fishing near shore. And while we don't blame them, we highly recommend you spend a little time away from the bank this year. There are a lot of giant bass to be caught, and you can do it with several very simple lures and presentations. Today Matt catches the majority of his fish on a shakey head worm, but the GIANT commits to the wobble head creature bait. It's really common to catch your kicker for the day this way, and highlights why we use swinging jig heads for Summer bass!

Where Do Bass Go In Summer?! (And The Tricks That Catch Them)

Summer fishing is amazing when you know where to fish! As temperatures rise, bass follow predictable patterns. Once you know where to find the bass, catching them is easy! Even when Summer temperatures are at their highest, bass behavior can be predicted and you can keep catching fish consistently.

For those that don't know where to look, Summer bass fishing is tough. Here's what you need to know... Since the spawn, the bass have separated into two distinct groups. The first group goes shallow into cover and the second heads out to main lake structures. The shallow fish are fun because you can target them with a variety of power fishing techniques. The fish on outside structures group up around current when available and hard bottom when the water is calm. These fish can be caught on a variety of lures and tend to feed in aggressive "bite windows".
