Cold Muddy Water Fishing Tips! (On The Water)

Has your water turned cold? Don't give up! Cold and muddy water is a Winter angler's nemesis, but you can still catch fish! Come along for a day on the water as Tim faces these difficult conditions but finds unique areas where the mud works to his advantage.

Muddy water is great in Spring but it can make fishing really tough in Winter. If the entire lake has turned to mud, there isn't much you can do about it. Thankfully, on this day the muddy water was still pumping into the lake and Tim was able to find clear water/muddy water seams. These are prime areas to target quality fish under tough conditions and Tim took full advantage.

Come along on the boat as we fish the "Free Rig" for Fall bass! Have you tried the "Free Rig" yet? This is a great time of year to use this presenation! Think of this rig as a finesse version of a Texas Rig or Carolina Rig. It's a fish catcher and you should give it a try!

The Free Rig isn't new, but is continuing to gain popularity, especially as grass begins dying back in the Fall. This rig really shines around lay downs, docks, and other hard cover.  The benefit of this rig is it allows your bait to fall very slowly, allowing a natural presentation, while still keeping great bottom contact.

Fall Transition Bass Fishing On Lake Chickamauga

Come along for a day on the water! Tim is on Lake Chickamauga for the first time in a few weeks and the Fall transition is in full swing! Cooler nights have brought falling water temperatures. Add the lake level dropping in anticipation of Fall/Winter and the bass are really on the move!

Tim's plan is to target active fish and he's hoping to find frog fish as main lake grass begins to be exposed by the dropping water levels. It doesn't take long for him to start catching fish! Come along for a fun day on the water as he puts the pieces together and starts catching fish.
