Fall is here! Here's what you need to know to keep catching bass! Bass are schooling up and feeding heavily! If you're not catching them, it's time to adapt because it's happening on your lake and you're missing it! Regardless of the type of lake you're fishing, we're here to help. Fall is prime time for bass fishing! Whether you like to fish shallow or deep, there are aggressive fish to be caught. We use different lures depending on the type of fishery but the concept is the same; find the baitfish, find the bass. Keep moving, keep searching, and keep your eyes peeled for signs of life! If you can find the baitfish, active bass aren't far behind.

Fall Transition Bass Fishing On Lake Chickamauga

Come along for a day on the water! Tim is on Lake Chickamauga for the first time in a few weeks and the Fall transition is in full swing! Cooler nights have brought falling water temperatures. Add the lake level dropping in anticipation of Fall/Winter and the bass are really on the move!

Tim's plan is to target active fish and he's hoping to find frog fish as main lake grass begins to be exposed by the dropping water levels. It doesn't take long for him to start catching fish! Come along for a fun day on the water as he puts the pieces together and starts catching fish.

How To Fish The Free Rig! ( Fall Bass Fishing )

Have you tried the "Free Rig" yet? If you haven't tried the Free Rig, this is the right time of year to experiment with it. Think of it as a finesse version of a Texas Rig or Carolina Rig. Its a fish catcher and it's here to stay!

The Free Rig isn't new, but is continuing to gain popularity, especially as grass begins dying back in the Fall. This rig shines around hard cover and will produce long after bass have become leery of traditional presentations. The benefit of this rig is it allows your bait to fall very slowly, while still keeping great contact with the bottom.

This can be a difficult time of year and most anglers react by slowing down and fishing places where they've been successful in the past. While that seems wise on the surface, it's the worst decision you can make as we head into the transition. Instead, focus your time on new patterns, covering water, and fishing quickly.
