Chatterbait Tricks! (Beginner To Advance) + Underwater Footage!

Chatterbaits are one of the best lures ever made! If you don't use them, you're missing fish! Its a great lure because you can pair it up with a simple chatterbait trailer and go down the bank catching fish, but you can also take it to a whole different level! Today we're jumping down the Chatter bait rabbit hole and exploring different retrieves, trailers, colors, and how to adapt the bait to changing conditions. 

The chatterbait is incredibly versatile once you learn to adapt your trailers and retrieves. We use 4 main trailers to imitate different prey species. We also adapt our retrieves from a high speed burn, to a popping retrieve, to a bottom hopping presentation, depending on conditions. Learning these subtle nuances will take the chatterbait from a "good option" in your tackle bag, to a "must have" lure that goes everywhere you do.

Muddy Water - Tips To Catch Bass In Spring

The lake came up 5 feet overnight! The water turned to chocolate milk and completely changed the pattern. Come along as Matt figures out how to catch bass in these crazy conditions! Every Spring we get hit with cold, muddy water, learning how to fish through it will make you a more consistent angler. 

The first step in catching bass in muddy water is knowing what "normal" is on your lake. Its easy to go overboard with the bright, obnoxious colors on a lot of lakes. On the flip side, if your lake went from crystal clear to really dirty, its hard to find baits that are obnoxious enough! Once you've established a base line for your lake, you can easily choose the right colors and begin catching fish.

Underspins and Chatterbaits = Awesome Spring Bass Fishing!

Come along for a day on the water throwing reaction for Largemouth! Watch as Tim builds a pattern with an underspin and spinnerbait, then dials it in with a chatterbait. Adapting to changing conditions is a critical aspect of Spring bass fishing and Tim pulls it off perfectly despite constantly changing conditions. 

Spring bass fishing requires constant adaptation. Today is sunny and warm, tomorrow it might be snowing. For Tim, he faced cold temperatures, wind, rain, sun, and shock boats, all in a few hours. We're Going Where?! Chatterbait Fishing For BackWater Bass!

Today we're exploring a crazy backwater! Everyone else is driving airboats but we're determined to stuff our bass boat down the tiny swamp paths, through Lily pad fields, and into untouched waters! We have no idea what we're in for at the start but by the end of the day we put together a great pattern throwing chatterbaits for prespawn bass. Come along!

So many anglers fish the same fisheries over and over. There is nothing wrong with that but if the opportunity to explore ever presents itself, jump at the opportunity! On a recent trip Matt and CC were poking around a few backwater areas and found a tiny path that connected to an area they wanted to explore. Next thing you know they're driving down tiny ditches, plowing through airboat paths, getting stuck, overheating, and catching fish!
