When it comes to chatterbaits there are 3 main considerations. You need to look at the quality of the hook, the quality of the snap, and the time it takes for the blade to start vibrating. With spinnerbaits, its about the quality of hook, type of skirt, and diameter of wire. Subtle differences in material have huge repercussions with these baits.
