How To Catch Bass In Winter! (Beginner To Advanced)

Catching bass is all about understanding their movements. Tim starts out by catching a nearly 5 lb Smallmouth with no background information on this fishery. He doesn't have "secret spots" or friends telling him what do to, he's simply running the areas that bass congregate on as water temperatures drop, and it works. You can do this too! Pay close attention as he details how fish leave shallows and position on outside structures.

Top Baits For Winter Bass Fishing! (Cold Water Fishing)

It won't be long now, Winter is coming! These are the baits we rely on as temperatures drop, water gets cold, and bass move into their Winter haunts. Winter fishing is a great way to catch a giant bass so forget about winterizing your boat! Head out on the water, keep these baits in mind, and fish with confidence.

There are two different approaches to Winter bass fishing. The first approach is finesse fishing. By dropping to lighter line, lighter hooks, smaller baits, and slower movements, you increase the odds of lethargic fish biting. The second is power fishing. This method is about presenting large meals in ways that cause fish to react and ignore the cold. When this method is done properly you can drive a fish to attack at full speed, even in the coldest temperatures!

While the spoon is typically focused around deep water fishing, with modern advances the blade bait can be used both deep and shallow. Here are the details you need to know... 

Blade baits have come a long way in recent years. With more advanced baitfish shapes and lifelike color patterns these baits have become shallow water slayers during the cool and cold water  months. When it comes to spoons, we use both jigging and flutter spoons.
