Jerkbait Tricks For Early Fall Bass Fishing! (Beginner To Advanced)

Jerkbaits Catch Bass!! If you don't throw a jerkbait during the early Fall, you're missing some really fun fishing! Today we're on the water catching big smallmouth on Jerkbaits but in between catches Matt teaches the exact technique, how to use color to fine tune the pattern, and some other key tips. Whether you're a jerkbait beginner or a guy who throws them every day, you're going to enjoy the information in this video! 

Today Matt and CC used a Megabass Vision 110 and a Vision 110 Jr to dial in a jerkbait pattern along a windblown shoreline. The fish were staging on a shallow break to ambush baitfish and these baits were more than the fish could resist. In the beginning the fish were slapping at the baits but Matt began playing with colors and found the color "Elegy Bone" made all the difference. The duo went from short strikes and skin hooks to bass fully committing and t-boning the baits!

Chatterbait and Topwater! Exploring New Lake During ICAST!

Forget the show, we're going fishing!! ICAST is awesome but you've already seen enough coverage of the new baits and gear... its time to catch some bass! We're exploring the Orlando area and sticking a ton of fish on a chatterbait, frog, and whopper plopper! Florida isn't known for the greatest Summer fishing... but it should be! Sure its hot... really hot... but the bass don't seem to care. You can catch them offshore or right up on the bank, it just depends on your style. Today we started offshore and while we caught fish, they weren't the right size. We moved up shallow into backwater canals and shallow coves and immediately started getting quality bites.

Jerkbait and Fluke Fishing Tricks For Spring Bass Fishing!

Flukes and Jerkbaits can be amazing lures for bass in the spring. In both the prespawn and post spawn, bass congregate and feed in schools. These baits do an amazing job of "triggering" a feed response in these fish. If you learn how to use both baits to complement each other, you can trigger larger bass into feeding in almost every situation you'll face during Spring. 

Jerkbaits are an amazing lure in Spring. The way bass attack these baits at full speed is incredible! Their only fault is they can't be fished in heavy cover or ultra shallow water. That's where the fluke comes in to play. Once you learn to modify your fluke rigging for different situations, these baits can be used in tandem to adjust to changing conditions throughout the day, or across the seasons.
