The EASIEST Way To Catch MORE BASS!! Chatterbait, Spinnerbait, Crankbait Trick!

Matt catches a ton of fish while demonstrating how the early morning hours can be incredible with a spinnerbait, lipless crankbait, and chatterbait. He teaches as he goes so you can learn to use these baits as a system to maximize your time while bass are moved up for the shad spawn, and he does it all before breakfast! In the early morning hours the bass are patrolling shallow water in schools, searching for a meal. Any of these lures can catch those fish but there is a trick! By hitting the fish in quick succession and switching quickly between pre-rigged baits, you can keep a school of aggressive fish fired up for long periods of time. The key is continued action... if you let up, the fish will quit. 

This method works for small fish, big fish, and huge numbers of fish. If you're not getting out early and targeting schooling bass, you're missing some of the most intense action of the year! Bass Boats Can't Go Here! Lake Chickamauga Kayak Bass Fishing!

We're sneaking around the backwaters today to avoid boat traffic. With hundreds of boats on the water and fishing pressure at an all time high, its time to jump in the kayak. Why a kayak in such a big lake? We're able to get into all the places the boats can't go! Come along as Matt catches fish in backwater coves and pockets. 

Today is all about finesse. Matt started off with a tiny underspin, a senko, and a shaky head, then added a dropshot to the mix as conditions dictated. There were a few prespawn fish around but the majority of these bass were spawning. Since he was using finesse tackle, Matt added some new rods into the mix as well. He tried out a new Halo KSII Elite, a Savage Gear Black Ops, and the new Ultegra spinning reel and had great success with all of them. 

While we love fishing out of the bass boats and using all the modern electronic advantages, there is something very rewarding about getting on the water in a small craft, no electronics, and just going fishing. How To Catch Bass In Shallow Water | Spring Bass Fishing

Spring is here! The bass are moving into the shallows and you should be out catching them. The prespawn period before the bass begin bedding is an amazing opportunity to catch both numbers of fish and giant fish. Don't let the shallow water intimidate you; you can catch these fish! Today Tim is demonstrating his favorite lures for shallow water and showing exactly how he fishes them. 

This is the time of year to expand your fishing arsenal. If you've ever wanted to build confidence in a new bait, this is the time. Try a glide bait, a crankbait, Spinnerbait, etc... because the fish are moved up and they're feeding. If the weather changes and the bite gets tough, adapt to a slower presentation and you'll continue to catch fish.

Late Winter Fishing: A-Rigs On Chickamauga

In that video we discussed how to modify your rigs to get the most action in cold water. All of those tips were in full force this evening as the bass ate right on the twitches of the rig. It was also interesting to note the fish consistently went for the smaller, softer baits instead of the keitechs we typically throw. 

Matt adapted with the changing conditions, dialed in the rig, and was able to catch a handful of quality fish in this quick evening session on the Tennessee River.
