Catching BIG Bass In TOUGH Conditions! 30 lbs For 5 Bass!!!

With a 40 degree temperature drop most anglers would just stay home. But we're clear down in Texas and a cold snap won't keep us down! Come along for a day on the water as we adapt to the changing weather and dial in a pattern for BIG Bass, no matter what the weather throws our way!

Its simple to catch big bass when everything is in your favor. When the sun is shining, you've got a breeze on the water, and the fish are up shallow, it can be downright easy. But what do you do when it starts to fall apart? We're 19 hours from home on Lake Falcon in South Texas. The day time temperatures were hovering around 100 degrees and suddenly plunged to 60. To make things worse, the wind blew 40+ mph overnight. We have 1 day of experience on the lake, no idea how these fish adapt to these conditions, but that's not going to stop us!

With modern electronics and some tenacity, even brutal conditions are no match. The key in this scenario was to slow down. Two days prior we had been on a great bite with a wobble head and a 10" ribbon tail worm. We stuck to the same basic pattern, downsized a bit, and focused on key offshore structures (the largest rock piles we could find) and caught a ton of big fish on a day when most bass fishermen would have preferred to stay home.

Below you'll find links to the exact baits and equipment we were using. We've included the key colors to help you dial in your fishery the next time you're faced with a tough bite. All of the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of the items.

Buyer's Guide: Best Dropshot Baits and Gear!

Today's Buyer's Guide is all about dropshotting! The dropshot is a reliable way to catch bass throughout the year. Paired with the right baits, it can produce big bass as well. We've selected a handful of baits for this video that work exceptionally well at different times of year and in different conditions. Come along as we dial in the dropshot.

This rig can excel when the water is cold. When nothing else is working the dropshot can keep getting bit. The key is knowing which baits will give you the action you're looking for, and how to work them. A lot of anglers over-work the dropshot, meaning they shake it way too much. In the cold months in particular, the dropshot is all about a soft touch and subtle presentation. As the water warms in Spring, you can mix up the presentation with more movement and different baits to continue seeing success.

Below you'll find links to our favorite baits in the order they were discussed in the video. We've also included color recommendations, favorite hooks and weights for properly rigging the baits, and some of our favorite rods and reels for fishing this technique. All of the links go directly to TackleWarehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

Carolina Rig Tricks! Big Worms And Creature Baits For Bass!

The Carolina Rig is an awesome way to catch big bass! It can be adapted to virtually any fishery if you know what changes to make. From different worms and creature baits, to different hooks and weights, there are a lot of variables to consider. Tim goes in-depth about how and when to fish the Carolina rig and shows all his favorite components in today's video.

Whether you're on a Southern impoundment with bass gathering on ledges or on a small Northern fishery fan casting open water, the Carolina Rig has a place in your arsenal. He shares some of the modifications and adaptations he uses to consistently catch fish with this presentation.

Below is a breakdown of the equipment discussed in the video. From Tim's favorite components, to budget options, its all there. The links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see details photos and descriptions of each item.

Summer Worm Fishing - Tricks To Catch Bigger Bass

Summer has arrived and its time to throw the plastic worm! So many anglers overlook the dog days of Summer but you can catch more bass in one day in the heat than you can any other day of the year! By understanding how, where, and when to switch to a worm, you'll be setting yourself up for success all Summer long.

When Tim picks up the worm he targets deeper rock. There are plenty of bass to be found in the grass but those fish are often catchable on reaction baits. When you focus on rock, you'll discover a whole new class of fish that often won't eat anything else.

In this video Tim gives some great tips for budget anglers and seasoned pros, alike. Regarding sensitivity - Purchase the most sensitive rod that your budget will allow! Sensitivity is EVERYTHING when fishing a worm. If budget is a concern, two additional tips are to purchase a longer rod so you can visibly see deflection instead of relying solely on sensitivity to detect a bite. Also, spooling up with braided line (and leader) will increase your sensitivity drastically compared to fishing with fluorocarbon.

Below is a breakdown of the baits and gear Tim discussed in the video. We've separated out his favorite worms by style, given color recommendations, and included the rods he recommends from ultra-sensitive to budget-friendly.
