Catch Shallow Bass Right Now - Shad Spawn And Shallow Water Tricks

Shallow water bass are EASY to catch if you know what to do! Whether you're on a pond or a giant lake, some very big bass move shallow in the post spawn and we can help you catch them. Some lakes have an incredible shad spawn that you don't want to miss, others just have fish ambushing bluegill. Today we're covering the best techniques to target all of these fish!

Pond and bank fishermen can really simplify their fishing this time of year. You can narrow down your arsenal to two baits that will maximize your time on the water. Get up early and hit the water with a fluke and a weedless underspin, you'll be amazed by the results.

Anglers on larger lakes should focus their attention on the shad spawn. Its critical that you be on the water at or before first light, armed with key baits that these fish are susceptible to. It doesn't matter where you live, if there are shad in your lake these techniques will work!

Below is a breakdown of the baits and equipment that we recommend for fishing during the post spawn and early Summer when targeting shallow water bass. The links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see close up photos and detailed video descriptions.

How To Catch Bass With Plastic Worms **Incredible Underwater Footage**

Fishing with worms is easy! Use the tricks we show in this video and you're sure to catch more fish this year! Come underwater and watch how the bass react to different worms. Whether you prefer a weightless senko, a dropshot, or any other rigging, its easy to see the best ways to work them with an underwater view!

For today's video we kept the rigging simple. We showed a weightless worm, a dropshot, a ned rig, and a shaky head. All of these are great techniques for catching bass so we've included links below to the exact hooks, weights, and worms we recommend for each method. We also included links to an "In Depth" video for each technique.

Every time we watch bass behavior underwater we learn something new. In this video is was painfully obvious the bass would approach while the lure was moving but it had to be paused for the fish to actually strike. Consider how often you've failed to pause your worm near key structure while out fishing and we begin to realize how many fish we could have been catching all along. Take this information and apply to your fishing in 2020 and the sky is the limit!

Flipping and Punching | Everything You Need To Know!

No more secrets! If you want to catch bass in heavy cover, this video is for you! Did you know you can punch with a dropshot? In today's in-depth video the guys cover this trick and so much more as they give away all the secrets to consistently catching bass with a flipping stick.

When Summer largemouth bass head deep into heavy cover it requires very heavy tackle to get them back out. Punching, flipping, and pitching are the three techniques used to reach these bass lurking in the shadows. If you're the first angler in your area to pick up a flippin stick you will be amazed by how many bass are deep in the cover. Matt and Tim put their heads together in this nearly 40-minute seminar and teach everything from creature bait selection to color preferences, right down to which speed reel will make your life easier for a long day of flipping.

Traditionally these bass are reached using a heavy Texas-Rigged creature bait on 65 lb braid. This method is deadly and has been responsible for producing an incredible number of big bass. However, as fish become conditioned there are times that a heavy jig and even a heavy dropshot will far outshine the Texas Rig. Knowing this little nuances makes all the difference and Matt and Tim aren't afraid to show you exactly how and when to make the adjustments.

Below is a breakdown of all the gear discussed in today's video. It is broken down by style to make it easier to follow along.

We caught 85 bass in 2 hours! Epic Summer Bass Fishing!!!

We just had the most INSANE day of fishing! We had bass trying to eat each other, two bass on at the same time, fish jumping out of the water to catch a crankbait, it was CRAZY! 85 bass in 2 hours and we hardly even moved the boat! You have to check this out...

We found a huge school of largemouth pushing Threadfin Shad up on a point. Once the feeding frenzy began it was clock work. Cast after cast produced fish after fish as fast as we could reel them in! We caught most of the fish on a squarebill crankbait and a swimbait on an underspin. We've said before that causing a "reaction" is key when bass are targeting baitfish and these two baits did an excellent job of creating a trigger.

We were fishing in Mexico when this all took place but even the locals were shocked by how aggressive these bass were. It just goes to show how incredible Summer bass fishing can be when anglers are prepared to work as a team to keep a school of aggressive bass fired up.
