Prespawn A-Rig Fishing With BONUS Tricks To Get More Bites!

Come along on Clearlake for an evening of A-rig fishing! Matt has found a school of aggressive prespawn bass that are feeding heavily in the shallow, muddy water. As Matt catches fish he begins explaining how the fish are positioning, why they're there, and modifications he makes to his A-rigs and retrieve to get more bites in the Spring.

Since the Alabama Rig stormed onto the bass fishing scene it has been at the center of endless controversy. Whether you love it or hate it, anglers can all agree that it is incredibly effective on prespawn bass. In today's video the effectiveness is seen yet again but Matt goes in depth on how the fish are positioning, swimbait color selection, and most importantly, how to twitch and pop the rig to imitate scattering baitfish. Once you've learned to twitch the rig properly you can unfold its full bite-triggering potential.

Below is a breakdown of the exact equipment he's using in the video. We've also included budget equipment options and a few of his other favorite rigs and gear for this fun Spring technique!

Where Do Bass Go In Spring? (And How To Catch Them)

Ready to catch more bass?! Spring is coming and the bass are on the move! Today Matt teaches why the bass are transitioning and how to predict their movements in your local lake. Don't struggle through the prespawn unnecessarily, let us show you what the bass will do next so you can catch them before they spawn!

We all understand that bass are focused on feeding before they spawn. It gets complicated when you start trying to figure out where to start your day. Is it the same in a river as a pond? What about a reservoir? In today's video Matt breaks our fisheries into 4 different groups and explains bass' movements in each type.

Once you understand why the fish are moving and where they are heading you can predict their movements through changing conditions. Below is a breakdown of Matt and Tim's best confidence baits for Spring bass fishing including their favorite colors.

How To Catch The Biggest Bass In Your Lake - Full Seminar

Want to catch bigger fish? Want to catch the BIGGEST fish?! Targeting big bass requires a different mind set and a special set of skills. You need to set new goals, approach the water, weather, and environmental conditions differently. It might even require a bait or two you're not familiar with. But when you set the hook on the biggest bass you've ever seen, its instantly worth it! Dive in to today's full-length seminar and learn everything you'll need to know to catch the biggest bass in your lake.

Tim does an extraordinary job of teaching what you'll need to know to be successful. Catching bigger bass starts with a shift in your mindset. You're no longer on the water trying to catch fish, you're there to catch ONE fish. None of the other bass in the lake matter as much as the single fish you're pursuing so stay focused. Fish when the weather and environment are working in your favor, and success will follow.

While giant swimbaits are a huge part of consistently targeting BIG bass but there are other baits that will also catch these fish. Knowing how to "trigger" a feed response is critical. Baits like jerkbaits, crankbaits, and Alabama Rigs all play a key role in this method. Its also important to understand when conditions simply aren't conducive to big bait fishing and you're better off with a finesse approach.

Below is a breakdown of the baits and equipment Tim recommends  as you pursue the biggest bass in the lake.

4 Lipless Crankbait Tricks For Springtime Bass Fishing

Prespawn Bass and Lipless crankbaits go hand in hand! After a long Winter of slow fishing its hard to imagine anything better than burning a lipless across shallow flats in search of big prespawn bass! Its ability to cover water quickly combined with amazing drawing power should put the lipless crankbait at the top of your list in Spring. In today's video Tim teaches two different approaches to lipless fishing and gives some bonus tips along the way that you don't want to miss.

When you hear the words "lipless crank" most anglers envision burning traps in shallow water, usually around grass beds. This method is so deadly on Spring time bass that its engrained in the minds of bass fishermen everywhere. However there is a second way to fish these baits that is often overlooked and typically catches even bigger fish than the burning method! The slow hop elicits strikes unlike any other lure we've ever encountered. It requires very specialized lipless baits to achieve the right action but once mastered, its amazing the caliber of fish you can catch.

Both methods should have a place in your arsenal. Both will work on any given day so we're typically prepared with both styles of lipless tied on. While both the burning and hopping styles are done with lipless crankbaits, the similarities end there. You'll want different lures, different weights, and even different line to really dial in the patterns. Below is a breakdown of the baits and equipment by style.
