How To Skip Under Docks & Trees

These are the tricks you need to know to skip your jig wayyyy back under cover. If you're the guy fishing the edges of docks and fronts of trees, your fishing is about to change! Tim goes in depth with the methods he uses to consistently reach deep into the dark corners of overhead cover.

Skipping is an amazing way to catch bass that no one else is even fishing for. Once mastered, you can reach fish so far back in the shadows that they're rarely approached. The method is best learned with a spinning rod but ultimately can be done with virtually any tackle.

Below is a breakdown of the rods, reels, and lures that Tim is using to skip in this video:

Senko Fishing Challenge!

Tim and Matt go head-to-head for 20 minutes! Both are armed with a 5" senko, each rigged differently. May the best rig win!

The senko is a proven fish catcher that works all over the globe for a variety of species. There are so many different ways to rig it but two methods stand out from the crowd. The first is the wacky rig, in which a small hook is secured in the middle of the bait and allows for maximum action. The second is a larger hook Texas rigged, allowing for the bait to be fished in and around cover.

The gear used in this video...

Bass Moving Shallow? No Problem With These 5 Baits!

The Bass flood into the shallows every Spring to feed and spawn. With the shallow water comes a whole new set of problems. Shallow snags, finicky bass, vegetation, and thick cover can all make it difficult to catch Bass in Spring. Instead of fighting it, embrace the shallow water this year!

These baits make it easy to fish shallow! We use a 2-part system, combining power and finesse to coax bass into biting. When one doesn't work, the other certainly will. Throw in a couple really unique baits and fall rates and you've got a sure system that will produce bites throughout the coming months!

Wacky Hook- Gamakatsu Finesse Wide Gap Size 1: http://bit.ly/2aKGmHM
Ika Hook- Gamakatsu Superline 4/0 EWG: http://bit.ly/2ac92XG

Great news! You can throw the spinnerbait, Senko, Flick Shake, Ika, and more all on the same "all around" rod! Matt's favorite setup for this style of fishing is...

Rod- Zodias 7'2" Medium Heavy: http://bit.ly/2cgmMAe
Reel- Curado 70: http://bit.ly/2apmDJt
Line- 40 lb Sufix 832: http://bit.ly/2ae93Ji
